Our Story

The Trashion Fashion Show at ARTpool Gallery was established in 2008 by owner, Marina Williams, as an annual event aimed at featuring local designers as magicians; turning every day "trash" and recycled, re-purposed materials into inventive and unconventional fashion. Held in July of each year, The Trashion Fashion Show is a staple in the balmy summer calendar of
St. Petersburg, Florida.
In the 10 years since its inception, The Trashion Fashion Show has welcomed hundreds of designers and models from all walks of life, age ranges and experience levels. As this is an all-ages, family friendly event, we have welcomed designers as mature as 83 and as youthful as 3.

History

Marina Williams founded ARTpool Gallery and The Trashion Fashion Show in 2008. ARTpool is an innovative approach to the traditional gallery/studio/event space. As well as being a freelance photographer and fashion designer she also is the gallery director and curates quarterly ART pARTies, including Trashion Fashion. Her creative vision brings together a plethora of art forms in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg and has gained attention nationally. Additionally, she stocks, maintains and operates the in-house vintage clothing boutique filled with fancy finds for
both ladies and gentlemen.
